Peek for iOS Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Onessa ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Peek for iOS or iPadOS, including its widgets and Live Activities (collectively, the "App"). App Store ID: 6760283607.
1. Privacy at a Glance
We do not use advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not operate an Onessa server that receives your calendar, reminder, photo, or task content. Most processing occurs on your device. If you enable Todoist, the App communicates directly with Todoist.
2. Apple Data and Permissions
- Calendar and reminders: If you grant permission, Peek can read the calendars, events, reminder lists, and reminders you select. It can also create, update, complete, reopen, or delete items when you ask it to.
- Photos and files: If you choose a photo or image file for a widget, Peek accesses that selected item and stores an app-sized copy locally. The favorite-photo feature may access photos you marked as favorites through Apple's Photos framework, including items stored in iCloud Photos.
- Widgets and Live Activities: Peek stores a limited snapshot of selected schedule information and preferences in a local App Group container so its widget and Live Activity extensions can display it.
Apple processes Calendar, Reminders, Photos, App Store, and iCloud data under Apple's Privacy Policy. Peek does not request precise location.
3. Optional Todoist Integration
If you enable Todoist, Peek sends your API token and requests directly to Todoist to retrieve selected projects and tasks and to complete or reopen tasks. Todoist task details are displayed and temporarily cached on your device. The token is stored in the Apple Keychain, while project selections and integration settings are stored locally. Todoist handles your account data under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. Other Local Data
Peek stores settings such as selected calendars, reminder lists, Todoist projects, themes, display preferences, widget configuration, and review-request state locally. The App may also keep short-lived caches needed to display your timeline and refresh widgets or Live Activities.
5. Purchases
Apple processes the optional one-time Premium purchase, receipt, and entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Peek for iOS and Peek for macOS use separate App Store products and Premium purchases; a purchase on one platform does not unlock Premium on the other.
6. Information You Send to Us
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it only to respond, troubleshoot, protect the App, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell or rent your information.
7. Retention and Deletion
Local settings, cached content, tokens, and selected widget images remain until you remove them, disable the relevant feature, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling Peek does not delete source data held by Apple Calendar, Reminders, Photos, or Todoist. You can revoke system permissions in Apple Settings and revoke or replace your Todoist token through Todoist.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and meet legal obligations.
8. Security
Peek uses Apple platform protections such as system permission controls, App Groups, and Keychain storage where applicable. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Peek is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an Onessa-operated service. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where applicable.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the App or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
