Peek for macOS Terms of Use

Effective date: August 5, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Peek for macOS (the "App"), provided by Onessa ("we," "us," or "our"). App Store ID: 6758136586. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store rules.

If you obtained the App through Apple, your use is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, any mandatory terms or consumer rights that apply through Apple or applicable law.

2. Acceptable Use

You may not copy, distribute, resell, modify, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the App except where applicable law or an included open-source license permits it. You may not use the App for unlawful activity or to violate another person's rights.

3. Your Content and Responsibilities

You retain ownership of your calendar, reminder, task, image, and other content. You are responsible for its accuracy, legality, security, and any changes you make through Peek. You are also responsible for protecting credentials used by optional integrations and maintaining appropriate device and account security.

Peek is a convenience display and editing tool. Menu-bar information and background refreshes can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Do not rely on the App as the sole source for time-critical events or tasks.

4. Permissions and Integrations

Some features require optional access to Calendar, Reminders, Photos, or user-selected files. You can change system permissions in System Settings, but disabling them may limit related features.

Optional task integrations may require credentials or access to files and folders that you select. Changes you make through Peek may be written to the source service and synchronized to other devices. You are responsible for reviewing the requested action before confirming it.

5. Premium Purchase

Peek for macOS may offer a one-time in-app purchase for Premium features. Apple displays the price before purchase and processes all billing. Peek for macOS and Peek for iOS have separate purchases, so a purchase on one platform does not unlock Premium on the other. Restores and refunds are governed by Apple's rules and applicable law.

6. Privacy and Third-Party Services

The App may interact with Apple services, optional external services, and websites or links you choose to open. Those services are operated by third parties and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security, or content.

Our handling of information is described in the Peek for macOS Privacy Policy.

7. Ownership

The App, its design, software, and Onessa branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or our intellectual property to you. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

8. Updates and Availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may require an App or operating-system update. We do not promise that the App, external integrations, or any particular feature will always be available or error-free.

9. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Onessa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or use arising from the App. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your place of residence remain unaffected.

13. Changes and Severability

We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
