Spendy Terms of Use
Effective date: August 5, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Spendy, including its widgets and related extensions (collectively, the "App"), provided by Onessa ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store rules.
If you obtained the App through Apple, your use is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, any mandatory terms or consumer rights that apply through Apple or applicable law.
2. Acceptable Use
You may not copy, distribute, resell, modify, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the App except where applicable law or an included open-source license permits it. You may not use the App for unlawful activity or to violate another person's rights.
3. Your Content and Responsibilities
You retain ownership of the financial records, notes, images, backups, and other content you enter or import. You are responsible for its accuracy, legality, security, and any sharing choices you make. You are also responsible for maintaining appropriate device security and independent backups.
Spendy is a record-keeping tool, not financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice. Exchange rates and calculated summaries may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Verify important records and decisions with an appropriate source or professional.
4. Permissions, iCloud, and Sharing
Some features require optional access to Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Camera, Photos, files, biometrics, iCloud, or notifications. You can change system permissions in Apple Settings, but disabling them may limit related features.
iCloud sync and shared ledgers depend on your Apple account and Apple's services. When you share a ledger, invited participants may view, change, export, or further disclose the shared content. We are not responsible for actions taken by people you invite.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
Some features may require an in-app purchase or subscription. Apple displays the price and applicable renewal terms before purchase and processes all billing. Where a subscription is offered, it may renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple account settings within the period specified by Apple. Restores, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple's rules and applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with Apple services, the Bank of Korea exchange-rate service, websites you open, and optional integrations you choose, such as Claude. Those services are operated by third parties and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security, or content.
Our handling of information is described in the Spendy Privacy Policy.
7. Ownership
The App, its design, software, and Onessa branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or our intellectual property to you.
8. Updates and Availability
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may require an App or operating-system update. We do not promise that the App, iCloud sync, exchange rates, external integrations, or any particular feature will always be available or error-free.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Onessa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or use arising from the App. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your place of residence remain unaffected.
13. Changes and Severability
We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
